Daniel Murray
B Health Sc, M Nutrition and Dietetics (Hons.)

Daniel has over 5 years experience in the health industry and has been working in the private setting for a number of years. He graduated from the Griffith University, Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics Program as an Accredited Practising Dietitian.  There has also been a commitment to further research with an Honours Degree into rehydration post exercise successfully completed. 

As one of a few male Dietitians in the profession this places Daniel in a unique position in relation to Men's Health after having a number of previous workforce experiences and can appreciate that everyone is an individual with different needs.

The practice principal has been forging strong links with a number of GPs between Logan, Ipswich and Brisbane and a close alliance with Obesity Clinic Queensland. Daniel has a special interested in Chronic Disease such as Diabetes, High Cholesterol and Weight Loss and looks forwards to the challenges of seeing a multitude of different patients.

Sports Nutrition has been a passion since first seeking dietary advice as a schoolboy athlete which led to a dramatic improvement in performance.  Although no longer competitive, Dan coached both at Sunnybank Swimming Club and a junior Rugby Union Program.  He still cycles for fitness and plays social Rugby Union for the mighty Med XV.  This experience allows him to offer insight into the nutrition and dietary requirements for both the serious competitive athlete and those who are training to improve their health and well being.

Jessica Davey
BSc, M Nutrition and Dietetics

Jessica has recently graduated from the Griffith University, Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics program as an Accredited Practicing Dietitian. In her degree Jess also completed a research major, studying 'The effects of consuming a slushed ice beverage on the body temperature of athletes exercising in hot humid conditions'.

Jess is very interested in the area of weight loss management and endeavours to become a specialist in the area. In her practice she places significant importance on the well being of her clients and endeavours to provide them with up to date information on best practice and incorporating these practices to suit individual needs. Previous studies in exercise physiology and a former personal trainer have allowed Jess to experience work with a broad cliental in the area of health, and enjoys tackling the challenges presented to her by her clients.

Being a keen sports woman, currently a competitive long distance runner Jess has a passion for sports dietetics with a keen interest in endurance activities. In addition she has previously competed at national level in a number of sports as well as coaching up and coming junior athletes in swimming and rowing. These experiences have allowed her to experience sporting culture and nutrition from many different angles to give her a wide breadth of experience in sports nutrition.
